The Whitebirk Gateway Project was carried out to create a stunning entrance to Blackburn Town Centre.
The work was carried out on the main traffic island and roundabout in close proximity to junction 6 of the M65. Works comprised of: tree clearance to create new sight lines, bulk excavation and ground re-modelling, construction of stone walling, installation of concrete foundations for the construction of the sculpture, topsoiling, turfing, planting and the sowing of wildflower seed.
